Snowy Owl
Snowy owl was first discovered in the late 18thcentury, and is unarguably considered to be the largest owl. Belonging to the family of Strigidae, these owls are called by so many names such as Great White Owl or Arctic Owl. The study of snowy owl facts shows that the bird is the emblem of Quebec. Normally found in the northern part of the circumpolar region these birds belong to the nomadic group. One of the remarkable migrations of snowy owls took place in the winter of 2011 when these birds traveled across the United States.
